WATERLOO — A program began to encourage children to specific themselves by means of group artwork initiatives is getting a serious enhance from the Black Hawk County Gaming Affiliation.
The Youth Artwork Group is certainly one of 15 packages and organizations sharing some $377,434 in grants awarded Monday by the nonprofit company that distributes income from the Isle On line casino Lodge Waterloo.
Heidi Fuchtman, govt director of the Youth Artwork Group, mentioned the grant is a serious enhance for a company now rising past its humble beginnings.
“Folks don’t notice that the Youth Artwork Group has been round for 10 years now,” she mentioned. “It was began and led by volunteers with no finances 10 years in the past, and people younger artists are actually rising into leaders.”
